Bangkok--16 Feb--HSBC
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited is celebrating a raft of regional awards for its Global Payments and Cash Management products and services in Asia-Pacific. It collected 17 key awards from financial publications in 2006 and in many cases, the HSBC team has held these award titles for a number of years. In Thailand, HSBC won Asia Money’s Best Foreign Cash Management Bank for Small-Sized Corporates and topped Asia Money Polls for Best at Understanding your Business Strategies, Objectives and Requirement in Thailand.
Global Finance has named HSBC as the Best Overall Bank for Cash Management in Asia for the fourth year running in 2006. The Asset also gave a number of awards to the HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management team, including Best Cash Management Bank in Asia and Best Cash Management Deal for its 17-country PCM mandate for Unilever. And Financial-i crowned HSBC The Most Innovative Cash Management Provider in Asia for the first time.
HSBC also topped customer polls in 2006. The Euromoney polls ranked HSBC #1 in a number of categories, including, for the first time, Best Global Cash Management Bank. And for the eighth year in a row, HSBC was named Best Bank Cash and Working Capital Management Asia in the TMI Awards, where it was also named the Global Cash and Working Capital Management Bank of the Year.
Lawrence Webb, Head of Payments and Cash Management Asia-Pacific said: “These awards are a testament to the talent and dedication of our specialist teams throughout Asia-Pacific. We have invested significantly in developing our capabilities with the aim of being the best cash management bank in Asia-Pacific, providing integrated solutions, consultative client service, and acting as a trusted advisor in servicing clients. We are delighted to be recognised for our efforts.”
In particular, HSBC was recognised for the strength of its business performance, specifically in Thailand where the bank won the Asia Money Polls for Best at Understanding your Business Strategies, Objectives and Requirement in Thailand and named Best Foreign Cash Management Bank for Small-Sized Corporates (less than USD100m annual sales turnover in Asia) for Thailand by the same publication.
