Thai Toshiba Electrics Industries Co., Ltd. (“Toshiba”) — Thailand leading manufacturer of general household appliances, audio visual products, and inductive motors - announced today that the company has chosen Oracle E-Business Suite to increase its competitiveness by streamlining key business processes, including manufacturing, finance and engineering innovation.
Toshiba plans to implement key modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite - including Warehouse Management System, Trade Management, Demand Planning and Depot Repair. This will help Toshiba consolidate its data management and increase visibility across the entire organisation.

Khun Kanit said, “In addition to an enterprise software implementation, Toshiba has taken this opportunity to undertake a major operational review of its entire supply chain. Toshiba has taken into account the two major success factors for business improvement - Business Process Re-engineering and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. In line with that, we have initiated an enterprise-wide project called “Synergy+ Project”.”
Toshiba has engaged Tplus Consulting, a newly established consulting firm under the Thai Toshiba Group, to lead this implementation. Tplus Consulting was founded to provide consulting services to Thai Toshiba Group as well as other clients. Tplus is focused on helping businesses to develop, integrate and improve their business and IT strategies and operations in order to achieve greater efficiency and competitiveness.
Khun Kanit said, “Tplus is responsible for re-engineering and integrating the Toshiba supply chain as well as designing the new IT infrastructure for Thai Toshiba Group. Tplus is managing the overall progress of the project to ensure a smooth and successful transition from the existing enterprise application to Oracle.”
