JobsDB, the predominant market leader in online recruitment service, has reiterated its success by staging the third "Career Exhibition" and by introducing paperless online recruitment service through barcode technology, the first of its kind in Thailand. e- Recruitment solution will be incorporated into the whole system to link the candidate applications to all 130 participating exhibitors' booths. Ms.Satinee Mokaves, Managing Director of JobsDB Recruitment (Thailand) Limited, discloses that "Career Exhibition 2007" will definitely turn out to be a very success event being held for the third consecutive year. The unique distinction of this year exhibition is the installation of LAN network on more than 200 computers and the introduction of e-Recruitment and barcode technology in job application process.The attempt is to better facilitate all candidates and participating companies. Registration can be done either by online pre-registration in www.jobsdb.co.th/ce2007 or by bringing a digital copy of the resume (via thumb drive or CD) to the event. All registered users will be given a barcode card which can be used to apply for any job at the event, by a simple scanning process that will take lesser than 30 seconds.
JobsDB will fully utilize possible hightech solutions to benefit candidates and participating companies. The barcode technology will work together with e-Recruitment solution that is installed and connected to all booths. This cutting edge technology will serve as HR recruitment assistant and will help lessen unnecessary processes. Before Career Exhibition 2007 takes places, participating companies will be able to use e-Recruitment solution to post job openings, to instantly search, filter and screen resumes and to systematically collect all deposited resumes. The e-Recruitment computer solution shall tremendously help reduce time spent on resume search without any need to print hard copy of the resumes.
Ms.Satinee further adds that the exhibition has experienced continuous growth over the years. In 2005, there were 20,000 visitors and 70 participating companies. In 2006, 40,000 visitors attended the exhibition with 100 participating companies. This year, it is expected that 50,000 visitors will take part in the exhibition and 130 leading companies has confirmed its participation. Companies from various industries including Banking & Finance, Chemical, Petrochemical, Services, Information Technology (IT), Manufacturing, and Consumer products have added variety to the exhibition. The Career Exhibition 2007 will be held during March 16-18, 2007 at QSNCC (Zone A and Ballroom). The theme "Come & Click Your Career" will highlight the usage of cutting edge technology. The budget allocated for organizing this exhibition is THB 30 millions. Major sponsoring companies include Advance Agro PLC, ExxonMobil Co., Ltd, KASIKORNBANKGROUP and Siam City Cement PLC. Media sponsors include the Manager group and Virgin Radio.
Ms.Satinee also adds that www.JobsDB.com has been in the market for eight years. Online services and IT technology have been improved and has highlighted the website success over the past years. Target audience to the website has reached 28,000 per day and the operating profits has improved by 35 % in 2006 as well as the website visitors that has grown more than 35 %. During 2006, there were more than 10,000 jobs posted in the website daily and there were more than 450,000 resumes stored in the database.
