Shin Satellite Public Company Limited ("SATTEL"), Asia's leading commercial satellite operator, announces today that its subsidiary, IPSTAR Australia Pty., Ltd. (IPA) has launched the region first video-on-demand service via the IPSTAR broadband satellite network. This value-added video service will keep IPSTAR in the forefront of satellite-based broadband services in Australia. IPSTAR offers the customers the ability to view pre-downloaded Movies and TV Entertainment on a title-by-title basis, to either rent or purchase. IPSTAR Australia has partnered with ReelTime Media Ltd. ("RMA"), Australia's national broadband TV service, offering a variety of video contents over their broadband connection. This service will be available in Australia in late March, 2007 from selected IPSTAR service providers.
To make the ReelTime Ready--IPSTAR service affordable to the customers, the download content will be un-metered and not subject to data quotas or tariffs. To enable the broadband TV service, the IPSTAR user terminal will be connected directly to ReelTime's Set Top Box. The contents will then be pre-downloaded to the Set-Top-Box. The available contents on ReelTime Ready/ IPSTAR plan includes movies, TV episodes, favourite library titles, foreign films, and much more. If the customer wishes to purchase the content, the Set-Top-Box will allow the user to write the content on toa DVD.
The successful deployment of the IPSTAR broadband satellite TV service in Australia will lead to further implementations and expansions in other IPSTAR markets through selected partners in the Asia-Pacific region.

Currently, IPSTAR provides full nationwide broadband satellite services in 8 countries with 10 gateways including: Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, China and Cambodia. IPSTAR will continue to expand its service coverage to the rest of Asia-Pacific in 2007.
