Harrison PLC has launched a solo exhibition sales activity across Europe and Asia, hoping it to draw more international customers markets into buying property in Thailand.
The public company set a target to draw property projects from the United States, Vietnam and Malaysia and is penetrating property investors in Hong Kong and Singapore. Furthermore, it plans to join hands with Tourism Authority of Thailand in hosting Thai Property Expo in Sweden to penetrate a group of European customers.
Kitisak Jampathippong, Executive Vice President of Harrison PLC, said this year (2007) the company will turn to give more importance to international marketing and customer base expansion through the promotion of hosting a solo exhibition sales activity from Thailand to other overseas countries. Mr Kitisak said the solo exhibition would be held in countries where their investors wanted to buy property in Thailand. These countries included England, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Scandinavian countries. He said most of the projects which are to be on sale are condominiums and resorts. At the moment as far as he has received information on the total of sales in each activity a lot of foreign investors have shown their special interest in buying these properties in Thailand, saying that the company has ever made the total sales averagedly between 40 and 50 million baht in some weeks. And in some more interesting projects his company has ever made the total sales at least 100-200 million baht.
Besides this, Kitisak said, the company has expanded its sales by joining hands with its foreign counterparts in bringing the property projects from Canada, the United States, Vietnam and Malaysia into the country. And the company has increased sales in Hong Kong and Singapore, saying such activity has recieved a good acceptance from customers in those countries and in the future the company expects to bring more foreign projects into markets in Asian countries.
"At present foreign investors have shown much interest in property projects in Thailand especially condominiums and resorts. Most of these high-end customers bought the properties for investment because property investment in Thailand has yielded at least 7-8 percent in profit which is a very attractive figure.''As a result, it has prompted many more businessmen especially in Asia to invest in properties in Thailand because the present investment in Hong Kong's stock maket has more fluctuations. At the same time property business in Thailand's neighbouring countries such as Vietnam and Malaysia seems to become an interesting investment among investors, so we speed up marketing altogether,'' he said.
Mr Kitisak said that apart from the promotion of sales activity in Asia, the company has yet to launch another plan around the second half of this year to penetrate European market by hosting a Thai Property Expo in Sweden. The company is prepared to bring Thailand 's property projects in the area of CBD and resorts in Phuket, Samui island of Surat Thani, Hua Hin beach of Prachuab Khiri Khan, Pattaya beach of Chon Buri and Asian neighbouring countries to put on sale for European investors especially Scandinavian people who want to live in a tropical zone country like Thailand. He said lately the company has held talks with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to work together to promote tourism in Thailand and the company expects that the expansion of international market this year is likely to make the total sales more than three billion baht.
