2007 Plan includes new product launches, leasing business launch and improved productivity for Thai farmers.
With a key focus on minimizing costs and maximizing productivity for Thai farmers, Siam Kubota plans to launch a range of innovative and environmentally friendly agricultural machinery at the 2007 Bangkok International Motor Show 2007. Highlights of the Kobota’s booth will include a Semi-Crawler Tractor, a Multi-purpose Farming Tractor,a Rice Vending Machine and a Fruit Quality Checker.
Mr. Veerachai Chaochankij, Managing Director, Siam Kubota Co., Ltd., the leading innovator in agricultural machinery, stated that, “Siam Kubota has a clear guiding principle to contribute with the very best of its capabilities to improving Thai agricultural sectors and the lives of Thai farmers. With this focus clear in mind, we have invented a substantial number of farming machinery that helps ease the lives of farmers. Today, we are regarded as the proud leader in agricultural technologies both in Thailand and ASEAN, and we are ready to pass on these technologies to help farmers minimize costs, and at the same time, maximize productivity.”
“Our showcase at this year’s Motor Show will comprise a range of innovative agricultural machinery that makes the job of farmers a great deal easier. Visitors will have a chance to see our Caterpillar Tractor, which is one of the world’s most advanced farming tractors. The Multi-purpose Farming Tractor is highly flexible and can be adjusted to suit multiple conditions of use. Our Coined Rice Grinders can produce clean, white rice while still maintaining nutritional value. Additionally, our Fruit Sweetness Indicator can be used to determine the sweetness of many different kinds of fruit. This is only the beginning and there are many more exciting innovations to discover at our booth. All these innovations have never been marketed in Thailand, but if there is demand, Siam Kubota will definitely make them available for Thai consumers.”, said Mr. Veerachai.
The concept of Kubota’s booth at the 2007 Motor Show is ‘Beyond The Imagination’. This concept conveys the key message to consumers that Siam Kubota offers more than just diesel engines and walk-behind tractors. Today, Siam Kubota is a leading innovator with a most comprehensive product range covering virtually all agricultural sectors.
Other innovative products to be on display include the household Lawn & Garden Tractor and the Compact Excavator, a compact-size digging machine that comes in sizes of 3 and 5 tons. This product is widely used at construction sites and Siam Kubota is the market leader for this segment in Japan, the United States and Europe. Equipped with superior technologies over competitor, the Compact Excavator from Siam Kubota is highly durable and convenient to use. Siam Kubota’s booth at this year’s Motor Show is a great opportunity for the company to show that they are highly regarded as the leader in agricultural technologies in ASEAN.
Mr. Veerachai further noted that, “In the foreseeable future, we plan to launch a number of new models across various product lines, to respond to the increasing demands of farmers. The first new product to be unveiled this year is the Multi-purpose Farming Tractor and we expect its sales to reach 20,000-22,000 units this year. Next, we aim to import the new Rice Kneading Machine from Japan with improved efficiency and productivity. In addition, we plan to launch newly-developed accessories for Kubota Tractors to take their operational performance and possibilities to another level.”
Siam Kubota has always placed great importance in its service quality. The company was the first to implement the ISO 9001:2000 standard on its dealers, in order to ensure that the service centers run by its dealers are of the same high standard as those run by the company itself. This also makes the quality products and services of Siam Kubota more accessible for customers nationwide. Additionally, the overall service has been taken to new heights including the improvement of staff at all levels, mechanics, service centers, mobile service units and genuine parts supply. As many as 60 Siam Kubota dealers are expected to be ISO 9001:2000 certified within this year.
Mr. Veerachai added, “We have now established a new subsidiary entitled Siam Kubota Leasing Co., Ltd., to provide financial assistance and make it easier for farmers to own our products. We offer low down-payment, low-interest financial plans with flexible payments scheduled to suit the income levels of our customers.”
Siam Kubota plans to export its products to many ASEAN countries including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and countries in South Asia such as India and Sri Lanka. Its major exported items are diesel engines and walk-behind tractors, with sales targeted for 2007 at 20,000 and 25,000 units respectively.
