Bangkok--3 Apr--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s ‘Money Channel Road Show’, held in Phuket province, was this year’s first investor base expansion activity and was very well-attended, attracting 1,500 people from the province and nearby areas. SET’s next educational outreach destination will be Chiang Mai in June.
“The response was very gratifying. People in the provinces are keen to keep abreast of current economic, financial and investment issues, especially given the recent challenging economic and political conditions. They greatly appreciated the opportunity of hearing from experts in the field,” SET Executive Vice President Mr. Vichate Tantiwanich stated.
The event featured various seminars on current economic and investment trends and provided booths, where those attending could consult with participating organizations, such as the Exchange and its subsidiaries, securities firms, investment management companies, listed firms, financial institutions and Thai Investors’ Association.
The kids were not forgotten, as 300 children attended the Magic Piggy Bank stage play, which promotes saving habits among the young.
