KTC breaks new frontier with entrance into insurance industry. First credit card issued in collaboration with Dhipaya Insurance. Extra confidence, lower risk, optimal coverage and unparalleled privileges.
KTC is collaborating with Dhipaya Insurance, a major non-life insurance company, in the introduction of first credit card for the insurance industry: “KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard”. The card will the risks borne by Thai consumers while offering numerous privileges and discounts on all kinds of insurance plus 24-hour roadside assistance, up to 20% discount at Vejthani Hospital. KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard is expected to attract members among the 600,000 individual, corporate and governmental agency clients of Dhipaya as well as 50,000 new members this year.
Mr. Thawatchai Thitisakdiskul, Senior Executive Vice President, Credit Card Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, explained the launch of KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard, “We have been studying the needs of consumers and found that there are more than 20 million people with insurance in Thailand. More and more people seek insurance each year as they are concerned about the welfare of themselves, their business and their family. They want to plan ahead and avoid possible dangers to their life and property. Insurance has grown by 4.37% in 2006 from 2005. More than 600,000 clients among these are clients of Dhipaya Insurance. There is, however, a gap between the target group of the insurance industry and that of credit card industry. For this reason we have decided to enter into the insurance industry for the first time with Dhipaya Insurance as our first partner because of their continued excellent performance, with the country’s top and second miscellaneous insurance premium and receiving insurance premium respectively.”

Thawatchai added “The benefits we are offering holders of KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard are 24-hour roadside assistance at 0-2305-8499-2, double Forever Rewards points when using the card to settle Dhipaya Insurance premiums, 10-23% discounts on all kinds of insurance offered by Dhipaya Insurance such as fire, automobile, marine, transportation and miscellaneous; 10% discount on paintjob, bodywork and engine repair at a Dhipaya Insurance repair center; and, 30% discount on rental fee at Krungthai Car Rent As a special offer for holders, KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard whose vehicle is insured with Dhipaya Insurance will, upon having their vehicle serviced at a Dhipaya Insurance repair center, be entitled to check-up on 10 items per year, one paint waxing per year and vehicle pick-up and drop-off at a designated location, all at no charge. Other services offered to cardholders round the clock include technical advice, medical hotline, urgent message communication, air ticket reservation, hotel reservation, limousine reservation, rental car reservation, restaurant reservation, golf course reservation and travel information service.”
“Other than insurance privileges, we will offer KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard holders health benefits which include 10% discount on service at Vejthani Hospital and Skin, Laser and Beauty Center, 20% discount on any one spa health check-up package per year, 5% discount on service at Dental Implant Institute and Specialized Dental Center, 20% discount on ambulance service for transfer to Vejthani Hospital, and, immediate availability of room in the case where admission is necessary.”
“KTC-Dhipaya Insurance Titanium MasterCard will have entry fee and annual fee waived for life and be entitled to the basic privileges of a Titanium card. One point or one mileage for every 25 Baht spent. Double points when using the card in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Flexi by Phone installment plan with special interest rate of 0.69%. They will also be entitled to the basic promotions of KTC credit cards.”
