Western Digital Corp. (WD), a global data storage pioneer and a long-time leader in the hard drive industry, today announced that a five-year limited warranty period on its WD Scorpioิ 2.5-inch hard drives will be available to customers in Thailand and that its range of external storage products are receiving extended limited warranty periods in the country.
Effective April 1, 2007, resellers and end customers will be able to purchase WD Scorpio drives with five-year limited warranties from authorized WD distributors in Thailand only. Also effective April 1, in Thailand only, the My Bookิ Essential, My Book Premium and WD Passportา external storage products will be protected with three-year limited warranties, an upgrade from the earlier one-year limited warranty. The My Book Pro and My Book Pro II external storage products will be supported in the country with a five-year limited warranty, when those products previously had three-year limited warranties.
