Bangkok--3 May--BBL
BBL Asset Management (BBLAM) is launching the Bualuang Long-Term Equity Fund 75/25 (B-LTF 75/25), an open-ended fund registered at Baht 5 billion. The new fund will invest primarily in listed companies with strong business fundamentals and a high potential for return.
Investment units will be available for Baht 10 each in an initial public offering from May 9-16, 2007. The minimum first purchase is Baht 5,000 with subsequent purchases of Baht 500 also available. Investors can subscribe to the fund at any Bangkok Bank branch nationwide.
BBLAM Managing Director Voravan Tarapoom said the Bualuang Long-Term Equity Fund 75/25 is an open-ended fund designed to promote long-term investments by general investors.
The fund’s policy is to invest 65-75 percent of its average net asset value (NAV) in each accounting year in listed companies showing strong business fundamentals and a high potential for return. The remainder will be invested in debt instruments, deposits, securities, other assets, or other profit generating means allowed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). However, the fund will not invest in derivatives or structured notes.
Investors will receive tax privileges for every year they invest in the fund until 2016. The fund will redeem the investment units twice a year on February 1-15 and August 1-15.
The fund will not pay dividends but will reinvest earnings in order to generate more return.
Interested customers can subscribe at any Bangkok Bank branch nationwide from May 9-16, 2007. After this period, investors can buy or sell the units every banking day at the market price.
