TDD, which has seen over 50% growth rate, now connects Asia Pacific customers to over 46 countries worldwide
DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, today announced the coverage expansion of its industry-defining Time
Definite Delivery (TDD) product offering, which is now available in four geographical regions covering Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East,
and the newly-added United States. The inter-regional expansion enables DHL customers in Asia Pacific to ship via the extensive TDD network
of 46 markets and 227 major cities.
TDD comprises StartDay Express and MidDay Express, providing customers with guaranteed door-to-door deliveries with the latest
possible collection times for pre-nine am or pre-noon deliveries respectively. Key features of the TDD service are the money-back guarantee
and pro-active shipment notifications.
The new offering from Asia Pacific to the United States allows customers access to major business centres covering over 1,450 post
codes in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York through the MidDay Express — 12.00 noon delivery service for non-declarable documents.
Launched in 2002, TDD has seen tremendous growth, especially in Asia Pacific with an increase of 50% from 2005 to 2006 alone. The
intra-Asia Pacific network spans over 70 cities in 17 countries.
“This is another breakthrough for TDD, one of DHL’s most widely-used service offerings in this region,” said Scott Price, Chief
Executive Officer, DHL Express - Asia Pacific.
“The expansion of TDD to include the United States attests to DHL’s commitment to proactively enhance our offerings to better
serve our customers, who trust DHL as the market leader to be close to their business and introduce innovated products.”
