Bangkok--9 Nov--JayDee Partners Magnecomp Precision Technology Public Company Limited (SET: MPT) today announced a net profit of Baht 20.1 million in the July-September third quarter (“Q3’07”) compared to a net loss of Baht 151.7 million in Q3’06 as revenue increased 5% on 108.0 million suspension shipped. MPT Q3’07 suspension shipments of 108.0 million surpassed the 100 million shipment milestone for the first time in the Company history. Q3’07 shipments were up 18% from Q2’07 and 25% higher than the 86.6 million suspensions shipped in Q3’06. As a result of the record shipments, Q3’07 suspension sales revenue rose 20% to Baht 2,559.3 million from Q2’07. For Q3’07, the Company reported a net profit of Baht 20.1 million, or Baht 0.01 per share. Based on current outlook, the Company expects shipments for Q4’07 to range between 98 million and 103 million units. As announced earlier on 29 August 2007, Magnecomp International Limited (MIL), MPT’s largest shareholder has entered into a sale and purchase agreement (“the transaction”) with TDK Corporation (TDK). Following the approval of the transaction by MIL shareholders at its extraordinary shareholders’ meeting held on 1 November 2007, MIL has now completed the sale and transfer of its stake in MPT to TDK, which represents 64.3% of MPT’s total shares with a put/call option to acquire MIL’s remaining stake representing 10.0% of MPT’s total shares within 18 months following the closing of the Transaction. In accordance with the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission, TDK will launch a mandatory tender offer for the remaining shares of MPT. The tender offer is expected to commence in November 2007. Subsequent to the change in MPT’s major shareholders, Mr Steven Glenn Campbell has resigned as Director and Chief Executive Officer of MPT. Mr Yong Kok Hoon, MPT’s Chief Financial Officer has also resigned but will continue as a Director and advisor to the Company. In addition, TDK has appointed Mr Teppei Watanabe to the MPT Board of Directors on November 8, 2007. Mr Watanabe will serve as an Executive Director of MPT. He graduated with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Chuo University, Japan.
