Bangkok--14 Nov--Hill & Knowlton EGCO Group, the first independent power producer in Thailand, recently held the “Tidy Kitchen” training programme for locals in Lak Si district as a part of the ‘Cleaner Canal, Better Living: Lad Tanod canal’ project. The training programme provided participants with knowledge and everyday tips on waste water treatment, including how to use household equipment to treat water before release to the canal. The programme is aimed at raising community awareness on local participation in environmental conservation around the Lad Tanod canal. The ‘Cleaner Canal, Better Living: Lad Tanod Canal’ project, a collaboration between EGCO Group and Lak Si district office, is one of the group’s 15 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects launched to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s Eightieth birthday. The project aims to raise local awareness on environmental conservation, restore the quality of the water and improve the landscape of the Lad Tanod canal.
