Bangkok--15 Nov--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Foundation has honored Mr. Wisit Wittayaworakan for his outstanding work in educational development. “Mr. Wisit Wittayaworakan receives the Professor Sangvian Indaravijaya Foundation Award because of his ongoing efforts to provide educational opportunity for underprivileged children. The award should inspire others to contribute to the benefit of society, SET Chairman Mr. Pakorn Malakul Na Ayudhya said. On behalf of SET, the Professor Sangvian Indaravijaya Foundation selects a person who has displayed extraordinary commitment to the country’s educational development, Foundation Chairman Mr. Chavalit Thanachanan said. “The finalizing committee assessed five candidates from a field of 35, noting their biographies, outstanding achievements and other information, including testimonials from people with whom they are involved. The committee is made up experts in various fields and chaired by the Professor Sangvian Indaravijaya Foundation chairman,” Mr. Chavalit said. Mr. Wisit Wittayaworakan, Rajaprajanugroh29 School Director, has made a major contribution to Thai education, nurturing his students academically and professionally, and providing support for his fellow-teachers. He has also devoted a great deal of time to the local community, improving their morale and quality of life. Today’s grant is one of six that the SET Foundation gives to individuals or groups that have made an outstanding contribution to society. The SET Foundation’s social recognition project covers six fields - education, urban social development, rural social development, music, sports and library development - and, to date, has honored awardees in three areas. In library development, the Foundation recognized Professor Khun Ying Manmas Chavalit; in urban social development, Mrs. Uthit Buddhasud Somjai received the award, and in rural development, the Inpang Community Network accepted the honor.
