Mr. Pandit Chanapai, Executive Vice President for Commercial Department, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, said that “THAI continues to use music marketing, the new marketing trend, once again. The response rate has been very high and has been extremely successful in achieving customer satisfaction for those who are THAI customers and True Fantasia fan club members. In the past, similar tourism campaigns have been held with AF2 and AF3 artists in tourist destinations of high popularity, such as Japan, Korea, and Australia. I am very positive that the level of interest from the AF4 fan club will be as strong as in previous years. This year, THAI has arranged a tourism campaign “THAI Exclusive Trip with AF4: X-Treme Army in Beijing” with travel to the capital city of Beijing, China, whereby those who will join the trip shall be able to join the 12 artists. THAI is confident that everyone who joins this trip will be excited by the beautiful venues to be visited as well as the flavorful local food in the Land of the Dragon, throughout the 5 days and 4 nights with the AF4 artists.” THAI will transport fan club members to Beijing, which is a world heritage site destination, exposing them to one of the oldest cultures in Asia. This trip will serve as a very good opportunity to bring artists and customers who are fan club members to witness preparations for the Olympic Games 2008, as the first group organized by THAI to be taken to the venue location. In addition, this marketing support activity is another one of THAI’s strategies that shows THAI’s ability as a leading air carrier serving 5 continents, to over 70 destinations worldwide. Currently, THAI operated flights to 7 destinations in China, those being Beijing, Shanghai, Kunming, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Chengdu, and Hong Kong, with 10 direct flights per week to Beijing, which will increase to 14 double daily flights beginning in January 2008 onwards, in order to prepare for the Olympics 2008 that will be held in Beijing.
