Bangkok--27 Nov--UNISBKK The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will launch the Knowledge Network of Women’s Cooperatives on 27 November, in Bali, Indonesia. The network will empower women entrepreneurs by providing them with a web-based system that enables them to share knowledge, resources and collaborate on projects across the region. The project will target rural women who are managing small enterprises. This web-based network will make it possible for women entrepreneurs to learn from each other about business opportunities, market trends, and to market their products. Membership in the knowledge network is open to women’s cooperatives, women’s business associations, non-governmental organizations and policymakers. The Network can be accessed at http://kn4womencoop.org . In conjunction with the launching of the network, a Regional Training Workshop on Entrepreneurship and e-Business Development for Women Cooperatives will be held from 27 to 30 November.
