KTC celebrates the success of its move into the trade fair industry through partnership with NEO involving five major fairs from early 2007. Total credit card transactions is beyond expectation at over 60 Million Baht. More than 5,000 new applicants signed up and over 15 million KTC Forever Rewards points exercised at the fairs. The firm is preparing to close the year with Thailand Bestbuys 2007. Total credit card transaction at fairs expected to reach 100 Million Baht at yearend. More trade fairs planned in 2008 to satisfy different lifestyles of members. Mr.Woravut Nisapakulthorn, Senior Vice President — Partnership Marketing, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “We have recently made changes to our marketing strategies in that we are now entering the trade fair industry. This is in response to the change in behaviors of the consumers. Following the economic recess, consumers are now shopping more at fairs. Since early 2007 we have been working with NEO or NCC Exhibition Organizer Company Limited and extended support to five major trade fairs: Thailand Travel & Dive Expo 2007, Wedding Fair 2007, Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2007, Pet Expo Thailand 2007, and, Health, Beauty & Diet Festival 2007. The fairs were exceptionally well received by our members with credit card transactions amounting to over 60 Million Baht. They are of a good diversity and reflect the lifestyles of KTC card holders well. Besides, we have made privileges and other special services available to our members including VIP parking spaces, shopping trolleys and carry-to-car service.” “Credit card transactions volume was not the only indicator of our success as fair sponsors. We have been able to extend privileges reflecting the lifestyles of members which differ from fair to fair. We have allowed members to use KTC Forever Rewards points to redeem products and services conveniently at booths at the fair. This year we are promoting the fact that you need as few as 99 points to redeem items without the need of luck or to wait. Our members have exercised over 15 million points at these five fairs. We have also successfully attracted new members with about 5,000 fair visitors applying for a KTC credit card. Moreover, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center branch of KTC Touch was launched to facilitate clients and members visiting the fairs.” Thailand Bestbuys 2007 scheduled for December 8th to 16th, 2007 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center is another upcoming major fair. As NEO expects a cash flow of 350 Million Baht around that time, we have prepared special promotions for the New Year shopping season. Members can collect sales slips from KTC credit card transactions at the event. Sales slips of 3,000 Baht can be used to redeem 100 Baht S&P Restaurant gift voucher. Additionally, for every 500 Baht spent via a KTC credit card, members will be eligible to participate in the auction of a 634,000 Baht Toyota Yaris 1.5E A/T from only 199 Baht. Members can also use as few as 99 KTC Forever Rewards points to redeem products such as 18 Baht box of Tipco fruit juice and other products which make good New Year gifts at KTC booth at the event.” “We hope that total credit card transactions at trade fairs in 2007 will be as high as 100 Million Baht after the completion of Thailand Bestbuys 2007. This figure is 100% higher than our initial estimate. And we expect members to exercise as many as 20 million points of KTC Forever Rewards for the redemption of products also. This year’s success has encouraged us to seek more partners and become involved with a greater variety of fairs as a part of our segmentation strategy initiative. Beginning in February 2008, we will be a sponsor of TTAA & ADT International Travel Fair 2008 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center to ensure that our travel-bound members enjoy the greatest privileges. We will offer more value and satisfying privileges to our members at trade fairs at next year.”, said Woravut in conclusion.
