Bangkok--6 Dec--Weber Shandwick Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Thailand) Ltd. (Hitachi GSTT) held a series of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of its Prachinburi hard disk drive (HDD) manufacturing facility and the shipment of 300 million HDD units. The crux of the celebration was to honor His Majesty’s 80th birthday on December 5, 2007 and to celebrate the company’s success under the King’s “sufficiency economy” philosophy. Mr. Hiroaki Nakanishi, CEO of Hitachi GST (Worldwide), presided over the ceremony at Prachinburi. More than 7,000 employees in yellow polo shirts attended the celebration and sang the song “Father Of The Land” together at the start of the event. All proceeds from the sale of game tickets at the event will be donated to charity, consistent with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
