Bangkok--6 Dec--Connect PR World Allergy Congress 2007 revealed its success in the organization of World Allergy Congress in Thailand. The event gains a very positive response from the member societies and delegates. The knowledge from the symposiums and information sharing sessions would be an advantage to the development of the global allergy treatment. Professor Pakit Vichayanond, President of the Allergy and Immunology Society of Thailand said the prevalence of allergy continues to increase globally. Therefore, this conference can be considered as the important venue for information sharing and brainstorming among the allergy specialists that would result in the problem solving and new knowledge as well as new development in the treatment and prevention that can be applied to each country. During the 5-day congress, the important information regarding allergy and immunology has been shared among 4200 delegates from 82 countries. At this conference, the Thai allergists also presented their research. In addition, the conference has widely discussed about the vaccines in allergy treatment which would be regarded as an important development in the field of allergy treatment. Professor Michael A. Kaliner, President of World Allergy Organization said that World Allergy Congress 2007 has been a great success. The event in Thailand will be used as the model in the future organization especially the next one in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2009. “This international conference is not only a great success in term on the medical progress and development, but also a positive impact on the image of Thailand as a whole as the event was coincided with the celebration of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday. It was a good opportunity for the foreigners to see the loyalty of the Thai people towards the King.
