Bangkok--12 Dec--Siam Commercial Bank Having secured 'Board of the Year for Distinctive Practices' for the third time in 2006/07, Board of Directors of Siam Commercial Bank was awarded 'Board with Consistent Best Practices' from Thai Institute of Director Association (IOD) yesterday. The award from IOD underlines the consistency of efficiency, effectiveness, and corporate governance of the bank's Board of Directors. Prior to this, the Board of Directors of SCB were cited 'Board of the Year for Distinctive Practices' in both previous periods in 2002, 2004/05. The Board of the Year Awards Programme, started in 2002, is sponsored by seven organisations; the Stock Exchange of Thailand, The Board of Trade, the Thai Bankers Association, the Thai listed Companies Association, The Federation of Thai Industries and the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisations.
