Bangkok--18 Dec--Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. (stock symbol as “RATCH”) establishes its wholly own subsidiary under the name of RATCH-Lao Services as an operation and maintenance arm for power generating projects of RATCH invested in Laos. Mr. Narong Sitasuwan, Managing Director of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. revealed that the establishment of RATCH-Lao Services Company Limited aims to endorse the operation and maintenance management and enhance efficiency and effectiveness in many projects of RATCH invested in Lao PDR. At present, the Company has invested in two Hydro Power Plant Projects namely Nam Ngum 2 and Nam Ngum 3 which the commercial operating date (COD) will be approximately in 2013. In addition, the Company has entered into the Joint Development Agreement with shareholders for two other projects namely Xe Pien Xe Nam Noi Hydro Power Plant and Hongsa Coal Power Plant. RATCH-Lao Services Co. Ltd., 99.99% owned by RATCH with the registered capital of USD 1,000,000 has the number of 1,000,000 shares at USD 1 per share which 20% of the registered capital would be paid. The main mission is to manage the operation and maintenance services of all power generating projects and related business invested in Loas. It will enter into the Operation and Maintenance Agreement with Southeast Asia Energy Co., Ltd. (“SEAN”) and Nam Ngum 2 Power Co., Ltd. which initially serve for the Nam Ngum 2 Hydro Power Project. In the future, the services will also expand to other power plant project of RATCH in Lao PDR.
