Bangkok--28 Dec--Thai Airways Yesterday (27 December 2007) at 13.30 hrs., at the Makawan Rangsan Room, Army Club, ACM Chalit Pukbhasuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, presided over the company’s Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting 2007, with the attendance of THAI’s Board of Directors, Management, and shareholders, whereby the following issues were discussed:1. Financial Results 2007 At THAI’s Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting, it was reported that during fiscal year 2007 (October 2006 — September 2007), THAI achieved a total revenue of 192,037 million baht and a net profit of 6,342 million baht, which amounts to an earnings per share of 3.73 baht per share.2. Distribution of Dividend THAI’s Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting approved the distribution of dividend for fiscal year 2007 to shareholders at 1,698,900,950 shares at 1.80 baht per share at a total of 3,058,021,710 baht. The payment of dividend will be made to shareholders with names registered in the shareholders’ registration book on Thursday, 10 January 2008 at 12.00 hrs. with dividend payment scheduled to take effect on Friday, 25 January 2008.3. Attending THAI’s Annual General Shareholders Meeting were 1,894 shareholders, representing 1,422,464,701 shares.Furthermore, during the past year, the company received the following awards: - Received the Best First Class Lounge Award 2007 from Skytrax’s 2006/7 World Airline Survey and second place under the Best Airline of the Year 2007 category by Skytrax, which conducts surveys amongst passengers and service users worldwide. - Received Avion Awards under the category of Best Single Inflight Audio Program and all types of inflight entertainment from the World Airlines Entertainment Association (WAEA), as 1 of 5 airlines that received this award out of over 250 airlines worldwide. - Received the Danish Travel Award 2006 in first place for an air carrier operating intercontinental flights, which the company has held for the fifth consecutive year, based on survey analysis conducted in Denmark. - Received recognition for initiatives for conserving energy and the environment from the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment for the company’s various projects at Suvarnabhumi Airport including: * Development of “Biodiesel Project” by THAI’s Catering Services Unit. * Environmental awareness award for “Ground Support Equipment Repair for Environmental Friendliness Project” by the Ground Support Equipment Services Unit. * Recognized for “Organic Fertilizer Project” at the company’s Operations Center. * Recognized for “Waste Water Treatment Project” conducted by the Technical Services Unit. * Recognized for the innovative “Wheel Suspension Project for Aviation Equipment” by the Aviation Service Unit.
