THAI’s Board of Directors approved the leasing of 14 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which is scheduled for delivery to THAI during 2012-2015. THAI plans to utilize the B787-9 aircraft for its regional operations. THAI’s Board of Directors agreed to place a down payment for 20 Airbus A321 aircraft, which is scheduled for delivery to THAI during 2012-2017. The payment will be retuned if the government does not approve the plan. With capacity of 179 seats, the short-range Airbus A321 aircraft is suitable for domestic and regional operations. The B787-9 and A321 aircraft will replace those retired aircraft from THAI fleet and be utilized to accommodate future growth in the next ten years. The new aircraft will use less fuel and therefore help minimize effects on the surrounding environment. THAI also focuses on maximizing customer satisfaction as well as product and services development
