Bangkok--22 Jan--Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. (stock symbol as “RATCH”) appointed a new director according to the resolution of the Board of Directors’ Meeting, held on January 21, 2008. Mr. Narong Sitasuwan, Managing Director of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. revealed that the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Suchat Chanlawong as a new Independent Director, effective from January 21, 2008 onwards in place of Mr. Panich Pongpirodom, the former Independent Director who resigned from the position since January 1, 2008. The term of the new director would last as long as the remaining term of the former director. Mr. Suchat Chanlawong, a 61 year old veteran who has been widely accepted as a human resource in industrial and energy sectors, presently is an Inspector - General of Energy Ministry. Previously, Mr. Suchat had been responsible for various important positions in government service such as Deputy Director-General, Department of Industrial Works, Deputy Director-General, Department of Mineral Resources, and Deputy Director-General, Department of Mineral Fuels. He received a Master of Science in Civil Engineer from University of Missouri at Rolla, USA.
