Bangkok--5 Feb--CIPE THE CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE ENTERPRISE invites you to a roundtable discussion on Measuring Integrity and Improving Governance: The Global Integrity Report 2007 with Nathaniel Heller Co-Founder, Managing Director, Global Integrity Tuesday, February 5, 2008 RSVP: [email protected] How can reformers improve government accountability in countries around the world? What are the true risks facing investors rushing to capitalize on China ’s economic expansion? What are the most pressing challenges facing anti-corruption initiatives around the world? These and other governance questions are addressed in the most recent Global Integrity Report: 2007. This report assesses the existence, effectiveness, and citizen-accessibility of national-level anti-corruption mechanisms in 55 diverse countries. Increasingly relied upon by donors, governments, and investors as the leading source of unbiased information on governance and anti-corruption trends, the report includes first-ever coverage of key countries such as China, Colombia, and Thailand as well as trends and changes from dozens of countries covered in the previous years. The 2007 report also features robust coverage of many G8 countries — revealing surprising similarities between those nations and some of the world’s poorest countries when it comes to governance and corruption challenges. Join us as Nathaniel Heller provides an overview of the Global Integrity approach to measuring the quality of governance institutions and presents findings from the newly released Global Integrity Report: 2007. As a senior associate and James R. Soles Fellow at the Center for Public Integrity from 1999-2002, Nathaniel Heller, along with Chuck Lewis and Marianne Camerer, first developed the Integrity Indicators and conceptual model for what is now Global Integrity. 12:00 - 2:00 PM - Tuesday, February 5, 2008 Center for International Private Enterprise Madison Building 1155 15th Street, NW - Suite 700 Washington, D.C. 20005 *Lunch will be served* To RSVP for this event, email [email protected]
