Bangkok--5 Feb--CP Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman and CEO of Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, was appointed as the first ever President of China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (COCEA) on January 16th, 2008 in Beijing, People’s Republic of China (PRC). The COCEA was initiated by the government of China and formed by over 200 Chinese businessmen from around the world. The main role of this association is to consult Chinese businesses in matters related to local as well as international trade and investments. The OCEA is officially recognized and endorsed by the government of China. Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont stated that he was honored to receive such a nomination and the reason for his election to President of the COCEA was not because of CP Group’s size and scope but the ‘3- Benefit Philosophy’ the organization has always adhered to. Whereby the country, the society and the organization (investor) must simultaneously and mutually benefit at all times. CP Group’s philosophy has been carried out into every country the organization has sought to invest in and its implementation has continuously been well received.
