Bangkok--26 Feb--Maxima Consultants EQ:IQs philosophy is about celebrating life and this season sends a message about positivity whilst embracing the importance of nature. The collection offers an eclectic and versatile range for the women of different faces from transeasonal pieces in leather and suede, voluminous blouses and knits, playful dresses, eccentric prints, structured suiting and vibrant colours. All together producing a personable and sophisticated collection is now available at Central Chidlom, Emporium, Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery.Candy Colours & Conversational Prints Spring begins with a hard-hitting splash of a vibrant palette in a delectable range of ice creamed-candy coloured leather pieces and nautical striped knits as transeasonal items. Jackets are cropped and boxy, stripes come in either large wide lines or pins stripes, skirts are minis, pencil or the tulip shape, and dresses are tubular sheaths or figure hugging crepe knits. Look out for miniscule conversational prints such as hearts and a beach print.City Chic & The Art of Contrast Moving forward the city line range is divided into three parts, casual, career and formal allowing for versatility and living up to EQ:IQs motto of dressing anyone and everyone. Satin fabrics in a key colour, mango, are most prominent in the form of elegant dresses and bubbled blouses. Loose and comfortable frocks in city prints are also must-haves as the weather slowly warms up. Once again, the art of contrast is very much essential here with geometric volumes and feminine but not overly girly pieces.Romantic Watercolours For the sophisticated there are a plethora of romantic watercoloured blouses and forest print flare dresses in olive and lychee. The smock and drop sleeve is still prominent with an emphasis on shoulder detailing, blouses a shapeless with subtle embellishments like pockets, subtle striped jacquard and ruffles. Sheer knits are essential with high humidity ranges in Asia. To avoid an excess of moisture mixed linen long tanks and tops are found in a tropical range of colours from absinthe, almond, olive, lychee and papaya.70s Retro Range On the upturn, summer there is a splash of the retro 70s with bright colours and dazzling prints. Main colours are royal purple, fuschia and pale ice blue. While three favourable prints are optic, rayon clipped jacquard, and Love + Peace. This range in particular is made easy to mix n match. Lightweight denims, the return of the wide leg trouser, peace T-shirts, loose fitting and bellowing shapes are in the form of hippie dresses and jumpsuits, and blocked striped cardigans and vests complete this past time look.Organic Cotton & The Tree Symbol There is also a hint of a political message from the designer through her clothes. Positive slogans like “Peace” and “Never Give Up A Forest For One Tree” brings awareness of the designer’s shift and major issues striking the world today, as well as from the pretentiousness of the fashion industry. To reiterate the designer’s philosophy of the balance of life and nature, this season sees the first introduction of organic cotton pieces that comes in a variety of comfortable white T-shirts and hooded long sleeve tunics. The tree symbol is modified and seen again this season in refreshing prints. Important items are the leaf print sleeveless dresses in lime and navy, the organic cotton vest with a single printed leaf and organic cotton twin set with miniature prints in yogurt and yellow.
