Bangkok--29 Feb--Minor International's Minor International's (MINT) 2007 net profit was up 26% YoY to Bt 1,611 million and revenues were up 13% YoY to Bt 14,029 million. In 2007, earnings per share (EPS) was up 22% YoY to Baht 0.54 per share. Despite a year of declining consumer confidence and political uncertainty following a coup in September 2006, MINT's food and hotel businesses proved resilient as both experienced strong comparable sales growth while opening 45 additional restaurant outlets and 2 new hotels. MINT's wholly owned food service company, the Minor Food Group (MFG), served more than 50 million customers and also performed well in 2007 despite relatively difficult conditions in the Thai retail sector. Revenues increased by 8% to Baht 6,581 million. MFG opened 22 owned equity outlets and 23 franchise outlets in Thailand and internationally including additional outlets in China, Jordan, Bahrain and Cambodia. The largest of MFG's restaurant brands, the Pizza Company and Swensen's, continued to dominate the Thai pizza and ice cream markets achieving 17% and 10% increases in Total System Sales, respectively. MINT's hotel business had another great year as it enjoyed a full year of operations at the Anantara Resort & Spa and Naladhu in the Maldives and the Four Seasons Resort in Samui. Coupled with strengthened performance of existing hotels, MINT's total revenues from hotel business was up by 17% to Baht 5,394 million. The Four Seasons Bangkok and the JW Marriott Phuket, which are two of MINT's largest hotels, achieved 15% and 20% increases in revenues, respectively. Overall MINT's portfolio of 15 hotels averaged a 19% year on year increase in revenue per available room (RevPar).
