DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, recently displayed its best-in-class third-party logistics solutions offered by its DHL Exel Supply Chain (DESC) business unit, to over 260 suppliers and experts from the hotel, restaurant and catering industries at the ‘Makro HoReCa Extravaganza 2008’ held recently at Impact Muangthong Thani..
The event, which attracted over 50,000 visitors, is the third of its kind organized since 2005 by Makro, Thailand’s leading discount wholesaler. It offers visitors not only product information but future initiatives including a HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant and Catering) Advisory Center, cooking demonstrations, a unique culinary contest, seminars on food hygiene and many other activities.
During the exposition, Mr. Phillip William Cox, Makro Executive Commercial Director Dry-Food, Non-Food & Supply Chain Management and Mr. Kittinan Ratchaneekornkailat, Senior Manager- Supply Chain Division of Makro, visited the DESC booth, which was hosted by Mr. Craig Hope-Johnson, DHL Exel Supply Chain Director of Operations. The two companies have been business partners since 2004. DHL Exel Supply Chain currently provides Makro with warehousing and transport services, covering both Ambient and Fresh products.
