Bangkok--7 May--Image Impact The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Brand Ambassador, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan (center), recently lent his support to UNEP’s Billion Tree Campaign by planting a tree in the premises of the UNESCAP building in Bangkok together with Ms. Noeleen Heyzer (left), UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and HE Latha Reddy (right), the Indian Ambassador to Thailand. The UNEP Billion Tree Campaign was launched in January 2007. Since then, nearly 3.46 billion trees have been pledged and 1.99 billion trees have been planted around the globe.
