Photo Release: Jet Airways launches daily link Bangkok-Mumbai

Bangkok--8 May--Baldwin Boyle Group Jet Airways launched its inaugural Bangkok-Mumbai daily service on May 7 to leverage the booming economic and tourism links between India and Thailand. Mr. Gerry Oh, Regional Vice President South East Asia Jet Airways (India) Ltd., (left) H.E. Madam Latha Reddy, Ambassador of India (centre) and Mr. Serirat Prasutanond, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport/Senior Executive Vice President of the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (right) are pictured launching the new service, which will help to meet the growing demand for more flights between Thailand and India. The number of travellers from India to Thailand is increasing by around 20 percent a year and is expected to reach 600,000 in 2008. Jet Airways, Asia’s fastest growing premium airline, has been operating in Thailand since early 2007 and the launch of the daily Bangkok to Mumbai flights will increase the airline’s services to 21 flights a week. The airline already offers daily flights from Bangkok-Delhi and Bangkok-Kolkata. To celebrate the new service to Mumbai, Jet Airways is offering an introductory price of Baht 9,000 return. The Mumbai flight also connects with London and Jet Airways is also offering an introductory Bangkok-Mumbai-London flight for Baht 28,000. Both prices are for economy tickets, are valid for the month of May and exclude taxes and surcharges.
