Bangkok--23 May--UNISBKK Comments made to the media by the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, following his meeting with Myanmar's Senior General Than Shwe, in the capital Naypyidaw today: - "I had a very good meeting with the Senior General and particularly on these aid workers." - "He has agreed to allow all the aid workers." - A reporter asked: Is it a big breakthrough? "Yes, I think so, he has agreed to allow all aid workers regardless of nationalities," Ban said. "He has taken quite a flexible position on this matter." - A reporter asked: Do you believe him? Ban said Senior General Than Shwe had made the statement "in front of many senior generals." - Ban said Senior General Than Shwe had agreed to allow Yangon airport to be used a logistical hub for aid distribution.
