Photo Release: Chevron hosts the 3rd Geology and Geophysics Camp

Bangkok--29 May--Chevron Thailand High school students set for prospect geologists to support Thailand’s petroleum industry Tara Tiradnakorn (3rd left), President of Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., has recently presided over the opening ceremony of the 3rd Geology and Geophysics Camp at the National Science Museum. Dr. Pichai Sonchaeng (3rd right), the President of National Science Museum, has given a welcoming speech to all parties including 56 students from 9 schools nationwide. The Geology and Geophysics Camp is initiated by the cooperation between Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., National Science Museum, and Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University with an aim at enhancing Thai youth’s outlook in Geology together with new approach in learning earth sciences. This project is another example of Chevron’s determination in developing quality Geology education in Thailand, apart from its support of 300 million baht in founding the first International Master’s Degree program in Petroleum Geoscience in Thailand and Asia Pacific at Chulalongkorn University.
