Bangkok--30 May--EXIM Thailand Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) appointed new Senior Vice President of the Office of Legal Affairs and Debt Administration and Credit Procedure Department to be effective on June 1, 2008. Mr. Surapon Satimanont was designated as a Senior Vice President, Office of Legal Affairs and Debt Administration and Credit Procedure Department, overseeing EXIM Thailand clients’ credit information processing, credit approval and collateral operations, debt collection and restructuring, contract preparation and other legal affairs. The appointment takes effect on June 1, 2008. Mr. Surapon obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Ramkhamhaeng University and Masters of Laws from Southern Methodist University and Howard University, U.S.A. He also earned a Master of Arts (Business) from Webster University, U.S.A. He has extensive experience in legal counselling at Anek & Associates, Denton Hall and Arthur Anderson/SGVN Legal & Tax Consultants and became a partner in MPS & Associates and Allen & Overy, respectively. His last posts before joining EXIM Thailand were Chairman of Audit Committee, Baan Rock Garden Public Co., Ltd.; Member of Audit Committee, Ratchthani Leasing Public Co., Ltd.; Director of S & Manont Limited, Transun group of companies and Sonther Steel; and Member of Subcommittee on Legal Affairs and Contracts, State Railway of Thailand.
