Bangkok--11 Jun--Francom Asia A key component of Raimon Land's drive to ensure environmental issues remain prominent on the public agenda is its sponsorship of the 99-dayBangkok exhibition of Earth From Above: An Aerial Portrait Of Our Planet Towards Sustainable Development — a photographic presentation by famed naturalist Mr Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Supported by UNESCO and held in collaboration with ZEN and the French Embassy, Earth From Above is a spectacular display of large-scale photographs of earth and its astonishing natural landscapes that reveals the evolution of the planet, and what may lie ahead for its inhabitants. The THB20 million exhibition is a fascinating collection of 120 images that takes people into the air for a bird's eye view of the patterns and colours created in various landscapes around the world that build empathy with the need to respect nature and modify production and consumption to ensure earth's longevity. Encouraging respect for the environment and building greater understanding of issues related to sustainable development are key stated goals for Raimon Land. Other environmental activities the luxury property developer is engaged in supporting are the Plant-A-Tree-Today Foundation and the Bangkok River City Workshop, at which 21 international city-planning experts are analysing the Chao Phraya River's commercial and community development which runs until June 13. Earth from Above first opened in the Luxembourg Garden in Paris in 2000 and has been previously seen in London, Tokyo, Sydney and Russia. Situated at ZEN Outdoor Arena and Amphitheatre Zone (Fountain Square outside CentralWorld) and covering 2,500 square metres of space, Earth from Above is being held from June 3 to September 9.
