Bangkok--12 Jun--DTAC dtac introduces the new service ‘SMS Search’ that enables users to search for music, games, mobile phone-decorating contents and information as fast and completely as they wish. Thinakorn Thianprathum, Head of Mobile Internet Department, said along with the new service, dtac has also revamped its WAP page to be more friendly to users who can now conveniently download music, games and other contents and access all search services including Wikipedia that is now available on mobile phones in Thailand for the first time. To use the ‘SMS Search’ service, customers simply type the key words, either Thai or English, they are searching for and send them through the short messaging service at 4530111 (subject to a charge of two baht per message). Then the system will send WAP Push messages directly to users’ phones to enable them to access and/or download their desired contents covering ring tones, Ring4U, games, themes, wallpapers and much more. Users can also access the three most popular search engines namely Google, Yahoo and MSN. In addition, dtac is Thailand’s first mobile phone network that supports the display of search results from Wikipedia in the form of Wapedia on mobile phones. The use is very convenient as if the customers were using the Internet directly. dtac and Mobile Content Networks, its partner that develops information-searching systems for mobile phones, are presenting special prizes to lucky clients who search for information and contents with mobile phones from today until August 31, 2008. One search through ‘SMS Search’ or one content download through dtac WAP gives one right for users to vie for monthly prize draws. The prizes consist of Fino motorcycles, Nintendo Wii video game machines, Olympus Mju 850SW digital cameras, Sony DSC-W80 digital cameras, and Sony PSP video game machines plus 4G memory cards. Three rounds of lucky draws are scheduled on July 7, August 7 and September 8, 2008. For more information, please visit wap.dtac.co.th or www.dtac.co.th .
