Bangkok--16 Jun--Fitch Ratings Fitch Ratings (Thailand) Limited has today changed the rating Outlook on Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited’s (MBTh) THB2.5 billion guaranteed debentures due 2009 to Positive from Stable following a similar revision in Outlook on Germany’s Daimler AG (Daimler), the guarantor and its parent. At the same time, the National Long-term rating on the debentures have been affirmed at ‘AA+(tha)’. The rating is based entirely on the full, irrevocable and unconditional guarantee provided by Daimler, which is rated Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Rating of ‘A-’ (A minus). The rating Outlook on Daimler was revised to reflect the improvement in its financial profile in 2007 and Q108. It also reflects Fitch's belief that the group is in a position to maintain and further strengthen its overall credit profile through the cycle, thanks notably to the structural improvement of Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Trucks.
