Thai bourse appoints Vice Chairman and Governors

Bangkok--26 Jun--SET The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)’s Board of Governors (BoG) has appointed Mr. Wiboon Perm-Arayawong as its Vice Chairman. He replaces Mr. Kampanart Lohacharoenvanich whose term is completed. In this position, Mr. Wiboon will also be an ex-officio member of the Exchange’s Executive and Remuneration Committees. He has also been appointed to chair the Exchange’s Disciplinary Committee, SET Executive Vice President and BoG Secretary Suthichai Chitvanich said. Also included in the BoG’s resolution was the appointment of two new board members - Capital Nomura Securities PCL Chairman and Chairman of the Executive Board Mr.Suthep Peetakanont and Kim Eng Securities (Thailand ) PCL Chief Executive Officer Mr.Montree Sornpaisarn, who were elected as SET Governors at the extraordinary meeting of SET member companies on May 12, 2008. They replace Mr. Kampanart Lohacharoenvanich and Ms.Asvini Tailanga. The new members’ terms will be from May 28, 2008 — May 27, 2010. Furthermore, Mr. Suthep has been appointed a member of the SET’s Audit Committee and a director of the Thailand Futures Exchange PCL. Meanwhile Mr. Montree has been appointed to SET’s Technology Development and Securities Investor Protection Fund Committees. Finally, the SET board appointed Mr. Wichai Poolworaluk to the Real Estate Development Committee.
