Fitch Updates Criteria for Servicer Rating in Thailand

Bangkok--30 Jun--Fitch Ratings Fitch Ratings-Tokyo/Bangkok/Singapore- 30 June 2008: Fitch Ratings has updated its servicer rating criteria for Thai servicers in a recently published criteria report titled “Thai Servicers Rating Criteria”, covering all types of servicers operating in the country. The report also discusses recent developments in the Thai financial and servicing market. Fitch assigned the first residential mortgage servicer rating for a servicer in Thailand in September 2007, while in Asia, the agency introduced servicer ratings in Japan in 2000. As of today, Fitch has assigned 24 primary, special and master servicer ratings to Japanese servicers, as well as 13 servicer ratings (including trust manager ratings) to Thailand, Australia and New Zealand servicers.The full report on “Thai Servicers Rating Criteria” is available on Fitch’s global website, www.fitchratings.com.
