Bangkok--1 Jul--Bangkok Bank Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich (2rd from right) welcomes Professor Chalud Nimsamer, chairman of the judging committee for the 2008 Bualuang Painting Competition as well as members of the judging panel who are renowned Thai artists, namely, Mr. Julatasana Payakharanon, Mr. Tawan Dutchanee, Professor Preecha Taothong, Professor Kamchorn Soonpongsri, Mr. Pratueng Emcharoen, Professor Dr. Aphinanth Posayanond, Mr. Thongchai Rukpathum, Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat, and Professor Thana Lauhakaikul. The 30th annual Bualuang Painting Competition received 229 entries in three categories - Thai traditional, Thai semi-traditional, and Thai contemporary. The foundation hosts the annual Bualuang Painting Competition in order to support the preservation of Thai arts and culture, and to encourage talented painters to produce high quality work. The competition is highly respected by artists and the art community nationwide.
