Bangkok--1 Jul--Bangkok Bank Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Apichart Ramyarupa, a director of the Bangkok Bank Foundation (right), welcomes Professor Chalud Nimsamer, chairman of the judging committee at the Bualuang Painting Competition for 2008, as well as judging panel members who are well-known Thai artists, namely Mr. Julatasana Payakharanon, Mr. Tawan Dutchanee, Professor Preecha Taothong, Professor Kamchorn Soonpongsri, Mr. Pratueng Emcharoen, Professor Dr. Aphinanth Posayanond, Mr. Thongchai Rukpathum, Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat, and Professor Thana Lauhakaikul. The 30th annual Bualuang Painting Competition received entries from 229 paintings in three categories - Thai traditional, Thai semi-traditional, and Thai contemporary. The foundation hosts the annual Bualuang Painting Competition in order to support the preservation of Thai arts and culture, and to encourage talented painters to produce high quality work.
