Bangkok--4 Jul--Hill & Knowlton Helping Thai children with disabilities is a key part of its corporate sustainability program DHL Exel Supply Chain Thailand, one of three business units of DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, recently sponsored the 6th Convoy for Kids Charity Golf Day at the Royal Golf & Country Club as part of its corporate sustainability program. Representatives from the DHL management team joined this annual fundraising event, organized by the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of providing financial support and outing opportunities to Thai children with disabilities. Community involvement is one of DHL’s core commitments and part of its policy of caring for local people wherever it operates. DHL Exel Supply Chain Director of Business Development and Solution Design, Elio Majoli Maggioli, said, “As part of DHL Thailand, DHL Exel Supply Chain is committed to giving back to the local communities that have given DHL opportunities to grow continuously. Sponsoring the Convoy for Kids Charity Golf Day is one way we can demonstrate that commitment.” Twenty students from Srisangwal School for the Disabled, together with the DHL Exel Supply Chain management team and other sponsors, attended a luncheon held after the golf competition in the morning. A fun day trip for 150 — 200 children with disabilities is also scheduled for November this year.
