KLeasing has set a target of THB43 billion in new auto financing this year. Mr. Isara Wongrung, Managing Director of KLeasing, said in a recent interview that the company was named Automotive Finance Company of the Year 2008 in Thailand by Frost & Sullivan Co., Ltd., a world-class business research and consulting firm. Established about two years ago, KLeasing operates with sound marketing strategies and effective risk management. This has led to stable growth in the company’s performance since its founding in mid-2005. KLeasing recorded growth in auto financing of 294 percent in 2006 and 96 percent in 2007. Among KLeasing’s key business strategies are ongoing business alliances with car manufacturers and dealers as part of their efforts to form long-term business ties and the offering of complete financial services through KGroup so that they can respond to customers’ diverse needs above and beyond auto financing. The company plans to launch ‘K-Auto Smiles Club’ — a knowledge-based program beyond financial services for customers. The program will feature information about cars, useful tips about car buying or selling, facilities for car buyers and sellers and emergency roadside assistance services. Complimentary activities will also be organized for customers, e.g., new car test drives, ‘Life of Comfort’ themed entertainment activities, etc. This program will start in the third quarter of this year, helping to differentiate KLeasing from other auto leasing companies. KASIKORN LEASING’s 2008 target of THB43.2 billion in new auto financing includes THB29.7 billion in auto hire-purchase to general customers and THB13.5 billions in financing services (Floor Plan) to authorized car dealers.
