Bangkok--14 Jul--Jigsaw Communications Sodexo, one of the world’s leading integrated facilities management company, recently introduced its Clinical Technology Management (CTM) service in Thailand at both Samitivej Sukhumvit and Samitivej Srinakarin Hospitals. The CTM team will be responsible for over 4,200 medical equipment items over these 2 hospital campuses, and various satellite medical clinics that are situated, for example in Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Nichada Thani and Rattanathibed. Clinical Technology Management (CTM) services is the management of clinical technology and medical equipment in a healthcare environment. Sodexo CTM team is responsible for large high end medical equipment items such as the CT Scanners and MRI Scanners, to smaller equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters and surgical instruments. Sodexo CTM ensures that all medical equipment in the hospital is operating safely, accurately, effectively and efficiently. Mr. Stuart Winters, Regional Director-Thailand, Malaysia and Laos said “Sodexo does not manufacture or sell any medical equipment; and, as such we provide an unbiased and independent perspective on the management of clinical technology in hospitals. Sodexo CTM provides a fresh alternative approach to maintenance of medical equipment from the current medical equipment vendors and suppliers.” Mr. Winters added, “In addition, Sodexo CTM provides a single point of contact for the hospital to manage all medical equipment on-site; rather than the alternative of communicating with multiple equipment suppliers.” Sodexo’s philosophy is to develop the technical expertise in-house to maintain the medical equipment within the medical center’s facility which will create the most value for hospitals. We perform a significant majority of the services we offer in our dedicated CTM on-site office, and if we cannot perform it in-house, we will manage a reputable external vendor to complete the job. To ensure the smooth running of all maintenance and rapid response of its maintenance staff which are based on-site, Sodexo will use the BEIMS (Building Engineering Information Management System), A web based system and its 24 hour Call Center to handle all maintenance requests. Although a new service in Thailand, Sodexo CTM already provides services to over 70 hospitals in North America.
