Bangkok--18 Jul--Japan Foundation The 11th Asian Cartoon Exhibition this year will be marked as the final Asian Cartoon Exhibition, which has been held continually every year for 11 years as a contribution to the greater understanding of Asian societies, cultures and people. This year the Japan Foundation, Bangkok, the Thai Cartoonists Association and Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University proudly present the 11th Asian Cartoon Exhibition on the theme “Asian Youth Culture”. 77 new and exciting cartoons created by the leading cartoonists from 10 Asian nations reflect the lifestyle and culture of the youth in Asian nations. These cartoons show us how globalization has linked and created a resemblance between the youth in each country; Thai audiences might experience that the youth in Malaysia get into football no less than the youth in Thailand, and game mania is the phenomenon that happens both in Indonesia and Japan. We would like to introduce Mr. Kosin Srilidtipradit, “Ko Nong” the Thai cartoonist whose works are shown in this exhibition. He is the cartoonist for the major vernacular newspaper “Matichon” and “Matichon Weekly”.
