Each cardholder will join other lucky travelers from the region as winners of Visa’s various cardholder promotions held across Asia Pacific in the lead up to the Games. Of these, 222 lucky winners are from Thailand. “With Visa sending the equivalent of 15 plane-loads over 17 days to the Games, the athletes will be well-supported in Beijing,” Mr. Somboon Krobteeranon, country manager, Thailand, Visa said. “We are sure the Thai team will be motivated even further as it will have its own special Visa cheer squad at the Games.” While in Beijing, each Visa cardholder will experience firsthand the action and excitement of the world’s biggest sporting event. The dream experience for two includes return flights to Beijing, three nights’ accommodation, tickets to two Olympic Games events and tours to the historic Forbidden City and Great Wall of China. Some 4,700 athletes from more than 200 countries around the world will compete against the best in their sport during the Games that will kick off on 8 August 2008.
