Bangkok--18 Aug--JETRO Bangkok The Japan External Trade Organization or JETRO, headquatered in Tokyo, Japan, announced the appointment Mr. Munenori YAMADA the new President and Mr. Hiroyuki NEMOTO the new Vice President for its Bangkok office. JETRO Bangkok President YAMADA succeeded Mr. Yoichi Kato, who is assuming his new assignment at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in Japan. Vice President NEMOTO succeeded Mr. Tomohiro Takashima, who is now Director of Public Relations in the Tokyo Head Office. JETRO has supported the implementation of JTEPA since last November, and we see that there are still many opportunities for both Thailand and Japan to expand our relations on bilateral trade and investment, as Thailand is one of the most significant countries for Japanese business society. Under my supervision, JETRO will continue to nourish bilateral trade, investment and industry-related activities, especially the auto industries, value-added services and humanware development, to bring about mutual and sustainable benefits for Thailand and Japan.” Mr. YAMADA earned a master’s degree in advanced international studies from John Hopkins University in the United States. He has been taking various positions at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, especially in policy planning. All activities are considered successful and value-added to Thailand.” Mr. NEMOTO joined JETRO after he graduated from Meiji University.
