Bangkok--3 Sep--DTAC Asia Mobility Initiative (AMI) today announced the appointment of Wansit Jeremy Saiyawan, senior vice president, International Affair, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, as its Chairman, effective as of September 1, 2008. Wansit says that as AMI Alliance’s new Chairman, he is responsible for facilitating relationships among alliance's member operators and will lead them to develop products, services and international market segments that will benefit the member’s customers. He will also manage AMI alliance's relationship with vendors, suppliers and content providers and will be in charge of strategic expansion of the alliance coverage and membership. His responsibility also includes working with standard setting bodies and industry groups. While serving as AMI Alliance’s Chairman, Wansit will also hold the position as a Senior Vice President, International Affairs of Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, Thailand’s leading mobile operator. He will be playing a very instrumental role to foster relationships for doing international business with companies across the region. From 2004-2008, he served as Senior Vice President of International Roaming in charge of roaming business. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Sales & Distributions in charge of driving up sales and management over 350 dtac shops, 1,500 dealers and 15,000 Non-Telecom outlets nationwide. Wansit holds a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University, USA.
