Gossip Gallery on Sukhumvit 28 presents. “Vera-Alien”, the latest contemporary art collection by M.L. Saksin Karsamsun .This anticipated collection, which consists of 12 acrylic paintings, will be the artist’s first solo exhibition in more than 5 years. “Vera-Alien” by Saksin reflects the artist’s personal point of view on how we, as individuals judge the people around us in today’s society. Is this because we are living in a competitive world? Where superiority and success are the driving goal. Have we become more greedy and self-centered? As a result we only see our difference. We alienate one another until they become isolated. This is the turning point period according to the artist, where we retreat back and see ourselves, finding out who we are. Are we to quick to see difference in one another? To judge without looking back at ourselves and seeing that underneath it all we are the same. These are some of the questions addressed by Saksin’s latest collection, “Vera-Alien” ‘Vera-Alien’ by M. L. Saksin Karsamsun will debut on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008. M.L. Chiratorn Chirapravati, Artist and Illustrator will be the guest of honor, presiding over the opening of this art exhibition at 6:30 p.m. ‘Vera-Alien’ will be exhibited until Oct. 26, 2008 at the Gossip Gallery on Sukumvit 28. Admission is free! As an additional incentive, Saksin will stage a performance art presentation during the opening. This one-man show, also choreographed by Saksin, requires audience participation and revolves around the main themes of ‘Vera-Alien’ — dreams versus reality. On the opening day, interested members of the public are invited to view M. L. Saksin’s superb collection and also witness a truly unique art performance.
