Bangkok--29 Sep--RATCH Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL (stock symbol as “RATCH”) reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) the appointment of Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon as the new Managing Director, replacing Mr. Narong Sitasuwan, who will complete his term as Managing Director on September 30. Mr. Narong Sitasuwan, Managing Director of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL stated that the Company’s board of directors’ meeting No 13/2551 dated September 26, 2008 agreed to appoint Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon as the new Managing Director of RATCH, effective October 1, 2008. Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon, 54, has many years of experience in the electricity generating industry. He started his career at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) in 1975 working for the Nuclear and Technology Division. Since then, he has held several important positions at EGAT. His last position there was Assistant Governor-Thermal Power Plant Construction. In this position, he was responsible for overseeing the construction of all of EGAT’s thermal power plants. With more than 30 year experience in power project development and engineering management for the Mae Moh thermal power plant, the Bangpakong thermal power plant and other major thermal power plants operated by EGAT, Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon is widely respected as Thailand’s power plant engineering and electricity generation guru. His extensive knowledge and experience will support and promote RATCH’s operations and growth with a promising future. Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (2nd class honor) and a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Technology, the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Meanwhile, Mr. Narong Sitasuwan has been Managing Director of RATCH since April 21, 2006 and will complete his term on September 30, 2008. Under his two year 5-month leadership, RATCH has experienced consistently strong growth. The company has developed a 10-year long term business plan and undergone a major corporate restructuring scheme to support its investment expansion in the power industry. The company’s major goals include power generation and sales for local application, international production expansion for export to Thailand and other markets, investment promotions in renewable energy and energy alternation and feasibility studies on investments in related energy businesses in order to generate a positive return on investment to shareholders under good governance practices.
